I studied illustration at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and have been lucky enough to have worked as an illustrator since graduating in 1991.
I started out doing work for magazines and newspapers, my first assignments were with The New York TImes and New York Daily News.
Editorial work led to some advertising work, and then to children's book illustration. My first book, Nothing Ever Happens on 90th Street, was published in 1997 and since then I've illustrated over 20 books for children.
I now live in Edmonton, Canada, with my husband, John, our two sons, Nicholas and Kieran, and our dog, Emma.
